Kami Gahiga

Kami is a curator and art specialist based between Kigali and London, with a particular focus on the role of patronage in sustaining and shaping contemporary African art ecosystems.
She has developed key curatorial projects in collaboration with museums, private collections, galleries, and auction houses across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
A former Head of VIP & Gallery Relations at 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, she is now the VIP representative for African regions at Art Basel.
Kami is a contributor to NKA Journal of Contemporary African Art and has lectured at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, as well as serving as a nominator for the Norval Sovereign African Art Prize.
